With its unique patented design, the ARCA-SWISS C1 Cube enables precise and secure camera positioning never before achieved. The camera can be moved im micrometrical steps following two axes. As the camera moves within a circular arc, there is virtually no modification of the distance to the object or the display window.
Cube geared controls are self-locking, so when a change is needed, simply turn a control knob to make a change and release. Cube has a dual set of knobs for each axis, one on each side of the Cube housing, to facilitate operation in tight spaces.
Additionally, each pair of control knobs can be turned at the same time or separately for user preference.
With a combination of a manual and geared movement, it's possible to move the Cube into extreme positions. A feature of the C1 Cube is the ability to open up like a clamshell to allow for vertical shooting without an L-bracket or to increase the degree at which you can pitch and roll the camera.
Overhead views may be achieved in this same position, using top pan to rotate the camera upwards.
The ARCA-SWISS Cube C1 can be additionally equipped with a geared panning control « gp ».
Using the new geared panning device, cameras and lenses can be moved micro-metrically in three axes. Due to its position, panoramic movements will maintain the central axis.
The ARCA-SWISS Cube C1 tripod head weighs 1040g without gp and 1105g with gp and will support 40kg of leverage weight.
ARCA-SWISS Cube C1 is available with a choice of quick release: Classic, flipLock®, and monoball®Fix.
