ARCA-SWISS monoball®p0
The ARCA-SWISS monoball®p0 is a unique tripod head that abandons the traditional design of locking knobs or handles.
Wherever the user stands, the photographer can now intuitively reach for the tripod head and secure the camera by simply turning its knurled locking ring.
The monoball®p0 tripod head is equipped with three locking elements arranged around the ball, like planets. These locking elements, dubbed planetary gears, surround the ball and apply a uniform force to ensure smooth movement of the camera in any axis. The unique patented aspherical ball also creates a gravitational friction force, thus preventing sudden camera fall. It does this with increased friction as the camera tips, slowing its momentum and thus lowering the risk of accidents.
As the camera is mounted directly on the ball and not on its neck, the movements are extremely stable. The panning system is unconventionally located just below the quick release at the top of the head, providing a panoramic rotation that remains level and in line with the vertical.
Monoball®p0 offers a tilt ball range of 90° and 360° panning.
Despite its super lightweight, beginning at only 280g and compact profile, it has unbeatable locking power. Themonoball®p0, like all tripod heads from ARCA-SWISS, is available with a choice of quick release: Classic, flipLock®, and monoball®Fix and is also available with 1/4” thread and a 3/8” adaptor.
